MELNYK, Laverne Diane

Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Sunday, June 9, 2024.  Laverne Melnyk of Barrie in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Melnyk. Dear mother of Allan Melnyk, Janie Lovell (Glenn Pirie), Jennifer Melnyk, and Ashlee Melnyk.  Loving grandmother of Jarrett (Corrie-Lynn), Kyle (Quianna), Zoe, Devin (Scott), Darcee, and Sadie.  Great-grandmother of Odette, Ada, Perrin, Aviendha, and Benjamin. Sister of Marilyn, Janice, Cindy, and Rick.

A visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale on Saturday, June 15 from 12 pm – 2 pm. Reception immediately to follow from 2 pm – 4 pm at the Elmvale Presbyterian Church.

If desired, memorial donations may be made in Laverne’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
