Fred was born in Sackville, NB on October 18, 1946 and grew up in Amherst, NS before bringing his young wife, Darle and son, Michael to Huntsville, ON during the summer of 1967 where he lived until 2022.  He was a longtime employee of Kimberly-Clark, active in the Huntsville Legion, and spent many hours at Huntsville Downs Golf Course playing and cutting grass.  In 2022, he moved to Penetanguishene ON to live with Tony and Sharmen so he could be closer to Darle who is living at Georgian Manor.  He spent the last two years, visiting Darle daily, spending time at both the Penetanguishene and Midland Legions.  He was on the go with his activities golfing, curling, playing cards, and pool.

In his words, “I have lived a good life.”

According to Fred’s wishes, there will be no service or celebration of life.

If desired, donations in Fred’s memory can be made to the Huntsville or Penetanguishene Legion.
