BUCHANAN, James Albert

July 22, 1956 – January 5, 2025

In his 69th year, James Buchanan of Hillsdale passed away suddenly in hospital on January 5th, 2025.  Dear father of Cory (Alberta), and Stepfather of many years to Tracy (Wayne) of Hillsdale and Lance (Sabrina) of Barrie.  He was a very proud grandfather of Shawna, Hope, Ava, Jeffrey, Elyas and Avery and a Great-Grandfather to Leland, Dawson, and Spencer.  Brother of Rosemary, Eileen (Larry), John (Sue), Lorraine (Rick), Robert, Carol, and Bonnie.  Son of the late Edwin Buchanan and Jeannine McCall.  He will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Friends he’s made from childhood, and most recently the group from Burks Falls that he was very proud to call friends. He will also be greatly missed by his “Special Buddy”, Jean Horzempa Varcoe.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
