Elmvale and Midhurst branches are now open Monday mornings at 10 a.m.

Volunteer Income Tax Program

In person, phone appointments and drop off processing of taxes are available for those within the tax brackets of: $35,000 for one person, $45,000 for two people, up to $50,000 for a family of four. In person appointments are available in March and April at the Elmvale Branch, please call us to book your in person or phone appointment at (705) 322-1482. If you are using the drop off method of tax processing (starts Monday February 24), please ensure your documents are in a sealed envelope labelled with your address, phone number and email address. This program operates in collaboration with the Canada Revenue Agency. In person 30 minute appointments are available in March and April.

 

Magic Card Club

Ages 9-13 join us for fun filled mornings learning how to play magic cards and build a deck. Saturdays starting March 1, 10:30am at Midhurst Branch. Cost: Free. Registration required.

 

Sprouts and Microgreens

The South Georgian Bay Health Team will be at the library to teach you how to grow your own sprouts and microgreens at home. These superfoods are nutritionally dense and are a great source of vitamins and minerals. Tuesday March 4, 2pm at Elmvale Branch. Cost: Free. To register call (705) 422-1888 ext 143.

Monday March 10 Take and Make craft kit: Butterfly at Elmvale and Midhurst Branch.

Tuesday March 11 Make a Button at Midhurst Branch, Giant Jenga and Wii Day at Midhurst Branch, Stuffy Sleepover at Elmvale Branch and Tiny Book Workshop for Teens at Elmvale Branch.

Wednesday March 12 Stuffy Sleepover at Midhurst Branch, Giant Connect 4/Jenga Day at Elmvale Branch and Make a Button at Elmvale Branch.

Thursday March 13 Sublimation DIY Puzzle at Elmvale, Midhurst and Minesing Branch.

Friday March 14 Magic Show at Elmvale Arena and Hunger Games Trivia at Elmvale Branch.

DIY Welcome Mat

Spring is just around the corner (really! It is!) Time to freshen up your front door! Come join us to make a beautiful personalized coir doormat in this two part program series taking place at the Midhurst Branch. Part 1: Tuesday March 18 – Design your Mat. Part 2: Tuesday March 25 – Make your Mat (this session is only for those who attend part 1) Cost: $20 per participant (for both sessions). Registration required.

 

Friends of Springwater Library Annual General Meeting

The annual general meeting of the Friends of Springwater Library is taking place Monday March 31, 5:30pm at Elmvale Branch. This meeting is open to both members and the general public who are interested in this group and the amazing work they do to support the library. No registration required.
