Parent Workshop: Talking to Your Kids About Sex

In this session, Jennifer Ewen (MSW, RSW, Psychotherapist, Certified Sex Therapist, ASTO) helps parents and caregivers approach this important topic with ease and confidence. Jennifer will discuss practical tips, strategies, and resources to guide age-appropriate conversations that promote healthy attitudes and open communication. This program is LGBTQ2S+ inclusive.

 

Self-Care: Beyond the Bubble Bath

Read All About It: Genealogy with Old Newspapers with Linda Corupe

Thursday, April 24, 1:30-3pm

Professional genealogist Linda Corupe will guide participants through finding genealogical information in old newspapers. This presentation includes a discussion of the different types of newspapers available to the researcher, what can be found in each, their evolution in our province, and how to access them.

Babysitting Course with St. John Ambulance

Tuesday, March 11, 10am-5pm, Ages 11-15

Cost: $35

Learn the skills necessary to be a babysitter or stay home alone, such as basic first aid, safe play, changing diapers, bedtime routines, and handling emergencies.

Friend Fest

Wednesday, March 12, 2-3pm

Ages 10-14

Come hang out with us for a fun afternoon all about celebrating and making awesome friendships! Bring a friend – or make a new one while you’re here! We’ll do fun stuff like making friendship bracelets, playing trivia, and more. Plus, we’ll share some cool tips on how to be a great friend and keep strong, positive friendships going!

 

Video Game Tournament: Mario Kart 8

Ages 12-18

Grab a friend and dust off your (video game) driving skills! Join us for an afternoon of casual video game competition and fun! Bragging rights to the winner and of course snacks and drinks for all!
