On the downside, there is a lot of political news in this edition. Our local municipality must be accountable for how they spend our tax dollars. I urge residents to follow council meetings, either in person or online. The ongoing unprofessional behaviour is, frankly, appalling. The Barrie boundary expansion remains one of the most contentious issues facing Springwater and Oro-Medonte. The real question is: what is a divided council costing us — financially and otherwise — compared to a council that can speak with one voice?
