In Your Hands

We are working hard to get the news to you! The postal disruption is here and the newspaper is not in your mailbox. I am not happy either. There are many more ways to get the paper during this strike and I hope you find them handy. I am hopeful an agreement will be made soon and this edition will be the only NSSW paper in 27 years that has not been mailed. We will wait and see.

  1. There is an E-Edition signup on this website, and you will get the first preview of the news right to your in box.
  2. Want a hardcopy? We will be continuing dropping off papers at many local businesses and community spaces. The locations of news stands are on this website.
  1. Find the closest depot for a physical paper as listed on the home page
  2. Email: info@springwaternews.ca and we will let you know where to find one.
  3. Call or text: 705-790-1993
  1. We will be on top of the notifications from Canada Post.

How You Can Help
We are contacting business’, individuals, and municipalities. Everyone has been helpful in getting the paper in your hands. The stands will be refilled regularly, and many more locations will be added.
We have lots of outdoor news stands that have found new homes for the duration of the strike.
1. If your business or individual would like to be a pickup location, please contact us.
2. If you would like to volunteer to help distribute the paper, please contact Linda at info@springwaternews.ca or call/text 705-790-1993.

Thank You

Thank you to the North Simcoe Springwater News staff for their hard work, with such dedication.“Every week the team behind this paper works tirelessly to provide readers the latest about what’s going on in the community they call home. There are late nights and early mornings. There are hours and hours spent writing and rewriting. There are pages to layout and proofread. There are deadlines that need to be hit and then, like magic, words and pictures that once existed only in the journalist’s mind are transformed into something tangible – a printed newspaper, the bi-weekly miracle.”, described Gorden Cameron.

There are many, many more news stands around our region during the strike. Contact us to find out where to get a copy.

Communication to residents is very important for municipalities and I appreciate the help getting good news out during this postage disruption. Thank you to Town of Midland, Town of Penetanguishene and Township of Tiny for your swift and immediate help in getting new news stands out in the community.

Thanks to Dennis Gannon for delivering to Anten Mills and Brian Belcourt for driving great distances. Thanks to everyone that took my calls and accepted papers for distribution.

Dear reader, we will do all we can to get the paper in your hands.
