Thanksgiving Closure
All branches of Springwater Public Library will be closed Monday October 14 for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We will reopen to regular branch hours on Tuesday October 15.
Creative Adults: Alcohol Ink Art

80s Murder Mystery Night
Ages 18+ dress in your 80’s best and join us for a night of fun at our totally tubular 1980s themed murder mystery night. Rich businessman Whit Wiley is found washed up and lifeless in the fountain of his newly opened mall! Find out who did it through thrilling and hilarious murder mystery madness in this immersive crime solving game night! The killer could be YOU! Friday October 18, 6pm-8pm, at Midhurst Branch. Cost: $5. Registration required.
ADHD Seminars
For parents of children ages 5-12 with ADHD, and for teens and adults with ADHD, registered social service worker and a part-time educational assistant, Catherine, will present two seminars. Seminar 1 will focus on navigating life and parenting children with ADHD. Seminar 2 will focus on teens age 13+ and adults living with ADHD. A question and answer period to follow after each seminar. Seminar 1: Parents of children with ADHD – Tuesday October 22, 6pm at Midhurst Branch. Cost: Free. Seminar 2: Teens and Adults with ADHD – Tuesday October 29, 6pm at Midhurst Branch. Cost: Free. Registration required at each seminar.
PA Day Stop Motion Workshop
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming stop motion animation workshop, where you will dive deep into the fascinating world of animation and in groups create your own stop motion short. This workshop is for ages 6 and up. Friday October 25, 1pm-3pm at Elmvale Branch and Midhurst Branch. Cost: $2 per participant. Registration required.
Seed Library: It’s Harvest Time!
If you used the free Seed Library to plant your garden this year, consider harvesting and donating some of the seeds back for our supply next spring for everyone to use. Looking for harvesting tips? Visit our website and drop off your seeds at any branch of Springwater Public Library.
Make a Magnet
Create two magnets using Canva and our new sublimation printer. This program is open to all ages. Thursday October 24, 6pm at Elmvale Branch. Cost: $4 for two magnets. Registration required.
After School Games
Come on in after school hours to play some games with friends and family! The library will provide games (and some snacks) or you can bring your own! All ages are welcome to join in the fun! Thursdays 3pm at Minesing Branch.
Fundraiser Silent Auction
The Friends of Springwater Public Library are having an online silent auction the first two weeks of November. To help with their fundraising efforts, drop off your donations of any new, slightly used items, gift cards or cash at any branch of Springwater Public Library and watch for details to bid for some great items online! Some of our auction items include hand made quilts, a three day/two night stay at a cottage on Georgian Bay and more! Thanks very much for your support.
